What is a BOI report?

Who has to file under the March 2025 rule?

Since FinCEN's interim final rule of March 21, 2025, only foreign reporting companies must file — entities formed under the law of a country outside the U.S. that register to do business in a U.S. state. They report only their non-U.S. beneficial owners. Domestic companies (those formed by filing with a U.S. state, including foreign-owned U.S. LLCs) and U.S. persons are exempt.

Are you affiliated with FinCEN or the U.S. Treasury?

No. We are a private, independent agency — BOI Concierge by Rage Agency Ltd. We are not FinCEN, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any government body. You can always file directly and for free at boiefiling.fincen.gov.

Why does your service cost money when filing is free?

Filing the report at FinCEN is free, and we say so plainly. Our fee pays for a service: native-language guidance, human review of your beneficial-owner details, secure handling of your ID documents, submission on your behalf, and a single point of contact. You're paying for the service, not the report.

My U.S. LLC is foreign-owned — do I need this?

Probably not. A U.S. LLC formed by registering with a state like Delaware or Wyoming is a domestic reporting company, which the March 2025 rule exempts — even when the owners are not American. Our free eligibility check at the start of the form will tell you honestly. We don't sell filings people don't need.

What happens if a company that must file doesn't?

For companies that are required to file, FinCEN describes civil penalties of up to $591 per day (adjusted for inflation) and criminal penalties of up to $10,000 and two years' imprisonment for willful violations. How long does FinCEN take to confirm?

The FinCEN E-Filing System typically issues a confirmation shortly after a complete report is accepted. We forward your confirmation number and BOIR transcript as soon as we receive it.

What if my beneficial owner information changes?

Accepted Answer

Reporting companies must update FinCEN within 30 days of a change. We're your single point of contact for that amendment window — tell us and we'll help you file the update.

Is my passport image secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ID images are encrypted at rest on our own server, accessible only to our review team through signed links, and automatically deleted 90 days after your report is filed.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can get a full refund any time before we submit. If your report is rejected because of a mistake we made, we refund in full. We don't refund when a report fails because of false information you provided.

What documents do I need?

Your company details (legal name, U.S. registration, address), and for each non-U.S. beneficial owner: full name, date of birth, residential address, and an image of a passport or national ID.

What is a company applicant?

For companies first registered in the U.S. on or after January 1, 2024, FinCEN also asks for the company applicant — the individual who filed the registration. Our form collects this only when it applies to you.

Which languages do you support?

English, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), and Russian — with native-tone review. The FinCEN system itself is English-only, which is one reason we exist.

Do you store my data after filing?

We guarantee careful preparation, human review, and correct submission of the information you give us. We can't guarantee an outcome that depends on the accuracy of the data you provide, but we'll work with you to fix anything FinCEN flags.

What's the difference between Standard and Priority?

Standard files within 3–5 business days for $99. Priority files within 24 hours for $179. The work and review are the same — Priority just moves to the front of the queue.

Who are the beneficial owners I have to report?

Generally, any individual who owns or controls 25% or more of the company, or who exercises substantial control. Under the March 2025 rule, U.S. persons are not reported — only non-U.S. beneficial owners.
